Liberty Freedom and Enfranchisement: Press Freedom and the Commonwealth

In April Commonwealth Heads of Goverment gathered in April in London for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. This panel discussion organised in association with Shakespeare's Globe and the London Press Club, will explore issues of press censorship and freedom of speech from a Commonwealth perspective.

The International Director, Centre for Freedom of the Media (CFOM), University of Sheffield, is an Executive Committee member of the CJA (Commonwealth Journalists Association) and was a BBC journalist and foreign correspondent for many years until 2007.

Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

Pia Zammit
An actor in and producer of the last play to be banned in Europe, Stitching, by UK author Anthony Nielsen. Also a founding member of an activist group #OccupyJustice.
