With the delay to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kigali, Rwanda until 2021, the UK's Commonwealth Chair-in-Office period has been extended until next year and, importantly, in a post Brexit environment.

What will be on the trade and investment agenda for the UK, and the Commonwealth more broadly, during this period? What are the business opportunities? How has Covid affected the Commonwealth and Africa?

We will be joined by a distinguished group of panellists to discuss these questions:

  • Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for South Asia and the Commonwealth, UK
  • The Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor, Alderman William Russell, Lord Mayor of the City of London
  • Patricia Ithau, Regional Director, Stanford Seed - Stanford Institute for Development in Developing Economies

Moderator: Dr Linda Yueh, Chair of the Royal Commonwealth Society

We are delighted to organise this webinar to provide an important update on the Commonwealth. This event is open to all who are interested in this network of 54 nations that encompasses one-third of the global population and whose combined GDP is predicted to reach $13 trillion in 2020.

As the first in a series of webinars, we are pleased to offer a discounted rate to RCS Supporters and Associate Fellows at £20 per participant.

Once you have registered, we will be in touch via email with instructions on how to join the meeting.
