Aims of the Competition
Competition Aims
From January 2010 this Award will be included within the Young Commonwealth Competitions, reaching even more young people across the world in order to:
- promote understating of common international issues
- give young people a creative forum to express their views
- inspire young people to be the photographers of the future
Amateur photographers, no matter what their age or experience, often take immensely powerful and expressive photographs. This Award aims to demonstrate that for those in each of the two age categories, photographs are a powerful tool for having your voice heard and for sharing with peers around the Commonwealth what your world looks like.
