National Summit
Each year, a selection of participants from each of the regional Commonwealth Youth Summits attend as representatives at the National Summit in London.
There, they will meet with other young people from across the country and take their ideas forward to UK government and Commonwealth leaders.
The National Summit offers delegates from around the country a chance to:
- Meet with young people from across the British Isles
- Represent their communities at the National level
- Learn much more about key international issues (such as the Millennium Development Goals) through interactive sessions and discussions
- Gain a first-hand understanding of what the Commonwealth is all about, by taking a tour of its headquarters and meeting some of its leaders
- Debate global issues in a new setting and put their opinions forward to Commonwealth, UK and international leaders
- Hear from inspirational speakers
- Take in some of the sights of London town and enjoy some tasty food
