Become a facilitator for the Commonwealth Youth Summits!
This unique debate programme will bring to life key global issues such as the Millennium Development Goals, and encourage young people to become active global citizens and advocates for social justice.
We need volunteers to help run workshops with school pupils and help oversee mock Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings (much like Model UN events).
You will receive full training and preparation materials from us at the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) and from our partners at the Commonwealth Secretariat.
There will be two training sessions (approximately half a day each), which you must be able to attend. The first is due to take place in the week of 5th December 2011 and the second in the week of 9th January 2012.
You should also be able to come with us to at least two of the four regional Commonwealth Youth Summits. These will be in January to March 2012, in cities across the UK. We would also love you to help at the National Youth Summit in London in April.
