The final winners...
The final winners in each age group were chosen by judges, Mr. Willie Chen (an artist, sculptor, metalworker, poet, playwright and short story writer) and Ms. Ira Mathur (a freelance journalist working in radio, television and print).
First prize in the 14-18 age category went to Christineil Thompson from Naparima Girls' High School. Christineil wins a flight to London in March 2010 where she will carry the Trinidadian flag at the Commonwealth Day Observance in Westminster Abbey, attended by HM The Queen and thousands of others. This prize was kindly sponsored by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Company and was awarded to Christineil on behalf of the organisation by Ms Annabella Brasnell.
First prize in the Under 14 age category was awarded to Kara John from Northgate College. Kara wins a laptop computer, generously donated by DigiData Systems Limited. On behalf of DigiData, Mr Nigel Thomas presented Kara with her prize at the ceremony.
