National Summit 2011
The 2011 National Youth Summit took place on 19 and 20 April in London.
The National Summit offers delegates from around the country a chance to:
- Meet with young people from across the British Isles
- Represent their communities at the National level
- Learn much more about key international issues (such as the Millennium Development Goals) through interactive sessions and discussions
- Gain a first-hand understanding of what the Commonwealth is all about, by taking a tour of its headquarters and meeting some of its leaders
- Debate global issues in a new setting and put their opinions forward to Commonwealth, UK and international leaders
- Hear from inspirational speakers
- Take in some of the sights of London town and enjoy some tasty food
